Turin, capital of the Piedmont region and a major industrial city on the banks of the river Po, home of close to one million Italians. For four september days in 2006 the city was put under severe stress by an additional 308 Norwegians. Two study trips per year is one more than the doctor prescribed and I return with a significantly richer mind and a noticeably poorer liver.

Sicily, Catania & Taormina (Italy)
The boat trip had worn out most of my fellow travellers who were now dreaming of sitting down. Later in the day in Taormina I saw many of them queued up in front of the chemists in order to buy pills against sea sickness.
